Hi! I'm Mr. Stromer and I teach Washington State
Studies and World Geography. I became interested in history as a boy, listening to my grandparents and parents tell stories
of the Great Depression and World War II. I believe the subjects of math and science are the mind of education, languages
and the arts are the heart, P.E. is the body, and history is the soul. History is not a list of names and dates, but a collection
of real human memories. History is also how one interprets the past and this is why I believe it is the most important subject
a student can learn. In history, two plus two doesn't always equal four. History can be as mysterious as the future and
in my classes, we will revel in the mystery of history. Welcome!
Washington State Studies and World Geography
students will be required to complete a final individual out-of-class project that will be presented to the class during the
latter part of the semester. Detailed information will be handed out during the 3rd week of the semester. General information
can be found by clicking "Projects/Due Dates" above.
